Emerson, New Jersey - June18, 2013 - Micronet Ltd., a subsidiary of Micronet Enertec Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: MICT), announced today the availability of its new M-300 platform. The M-300 is the first rugged, automotive-grade tablet supporting both Microsoft Windows Embedded and Android 4.0.
Built using open standards and designed as a Telematics platform, all M-300 product models are fully programmable using Micronet’s comprehensive Development Tool Kit (DTK) and Software Development Toolkit (SDK). The advanced product architecture of the M-300 accommodates the unique needs of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers in enabling product integration into vehicle systems (power protection, digital/analog I/O’s, CANBus) and with ancillary equipment used by drivers and field workers (printer, scanner, bar-code and magnetic card readers, RFID, external mic/speaker, etc.).
The M-300 features the unique, patent-pending, Guardian System Design (GSD), a combined hardware and software system enabling cloud based advanced remote technical support and highly economical customer service. The GSD supports:
